Tides of Change Rising Fast!

Wow! I apologize I have not updated FlexiVegi in quite awhile! Things have been crazy with lots of sudden surprises. I'm always on the move, but recent changes have made me move even faster.

First of all, dealing with the aftermath of the car accident has been a pain! My advice - don't get in a car accident if you are busy! lol. I've been on the phone constantly with insurance adjusters, car salesman, attorneys, towtruck drivers, auto shops, etc. And, on top of it all I've decided to hire an attorney to make sure I'm getting the fairest settlement from the insurance company. Woah - talk about 25 and growing up!

But, the great part is I do get a new car very soon. That's always exciting. I'm looking at hatchbacks with good gas mileage and a fun color! I'd be sad to give up the fun pop of color - it makes parking lots so much easier.

PLUS - I might be getting a new job very rapidly...I don't want to discuss it too much because I don't want to jinx it. Yes, I am slightly superstitious. :P It's an amazing opportunity.

It's very exciting but also sad at the same time. My career change will affect all the families I work for and have come to love. They certainly understand my need for a stable job with benefits, but that doesn't make the transition much easier. There have been tears and there will be more.

I have a second interview tomorrow. And, I got the phone call about the job on Monday. It was very confusing because I had not applied for a job in several months. However, it is a government job, and my name was put into a generic list for the job title that is sent to all departments. This sector needed to fill a spot and called me! So random...and fated? Time will tell. :) Even if I don't get hired for this job, I am taking as it a sign that it's time to find that stable, money-making job ... of course the sign comes just when I've completely accepted my current jobs and am content. Isn't that life? :p

So age 25 is proving to be what I thought - a time to really grow up and step up to the plate. The metaphorical kind of plate - but my mind did wander to plates of food...hmm...in the midst of the craziness it's been difficult to keep up with menu planning and even eating all my meals. A new menu plan is in the works though. It's actually been done for weeks, it just needs uploading! soon!

Also there are wonderful developments for my extended family. My cousin's new baby boy was born at 3:00 am on my dad's birthday! He is beyond special to our family, and I cant wait to meet him!

So stay posted. More change could be sweeping me out into grown-up life any time now!
